The Biblical Way To Please God
Sunday's sermon challenges us to examine our lives in light of God's call to sanctification. We are reminded that being in Christ means actively participating in the journey of holiness and living in a way that honors God. This involves putting to death the sins that easily entangle us, particularly those hidden sins that offend the holiness of God, such as sexual immorality. As believers, we are called to hold our vessels—our bodies—in sanctification and and honor. We are also encouraged to love one another deeply, to excel in our walk with God continuously, and to make it our ambition to lead a quiet life, attending to our own responsibilities rather than being busybodies. The sermon emphasizes that each of us should examine our own hearts and seek to live in a way that pleases God, understanding that our faith journey is personal and unique.
Let us commit to loving Christ more than our sins and strive to bear the fruit of the Spirit, which is produced in us by His grace. As we go forth, may we pursue holiness, living in anticipation of Christ's return, and exemplifying His love to those around us. May our lives be a testament to the transformative power of His grace, bringing glory to God in all that we do. Amen.
