Devotional Day 2 - The Character God Requires
𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥: God does not call the perfectly polished into service. He calls those who are being sanctified and who are committed to integrity in both public and private life. The qualifications Paul outlines for deacons are not a checklist of achievements but a portrait of a person being shaped by the Holy Spirit. Trustworthiness, sincerity, faithfulness in the home, and a clear conscience before God are the marks of one fit for service. Your private life is the truest measure of your public ministry. What you are when no one is watching is who you truly are before God.
𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Is there a gap between who you are in public and who you are at home? What does that reveal about the condition of your heart?
𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Spend time in honest prayer today, asking God to align your private character with your public witness.
