Blessed in the Suffering

𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹: Suffering for the sake of righteousness is not a sign that God has abandoned you. It is, according to Scripture, a mark of blessing. When you are slandered for your faith, gossiped about for your convictions, or excluded because you refused to compromise truth, you stand in a long line of faithful men and women who were treated the same way. The instinct is to retreat, to go quiet, to stop witnessing in order to avoid the sting of rejection. But the call of Scripture is the opposite. Suffering for doing right is not a reason to withdraw from the gospel. It is a reason to press deeper into it.

𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Has a painful experience of rejection or ridicule caused you to pull back from sharing your faith? What would it look like to re-enter that space with courage?

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Write down one instance where you were mistreated for doing what was right. Spend time in prayer reframing that moment as a blessing rather than a wound, and ask God to renew your willingness to remain in the gospel.
